Urologists per country, the urologist to population ratio, and the reach of national and regional societies. Every figure carries its source, its counting basis, and its verification status.
Twelve societies, from the global to the subregional, with what each publishes about its own size. A society roll and a registry count measure different things. Rolls include trainees, retirees, allied professionals, and members abroad; registries count licensed specialists. The table pairs the two where both were found, with the ratio left uninterpreted where the categories do not match.

Points above it have rolls larger than the count, which happens when the roll includes people who are not practising urologists or when the count is a narrower category such as consultants.
Some of the strongest published figures are regional or qualitative rather than national. They are listed here rather than forced onto the map.
Population is the World Bank total population series (SP.POP.TOTL) for the year of the count, or 2024 where the source gave no year. A count from 2015 divided by the 2015 population is a 2015 ratio, not a current one. Ratios stated by the source itself are shown separately in each country's detail.
Per 100,000 is the convention in the AUA, BAUS, and CNOM material; per million is the convention in the Chinese census and much of the African literature. Both are offered.
A German count of active specialists includes office-based urologists who do not operate. A UK count of substantive consultants excludes 500 SAS and trust-grade urologists who do. A society roll can exceed the number of urologists in the country. Read the basis chip before comparing two countries, and use the Registry or census only filter to restrict the map to the harder counts.
